It is herein assigned arbitrarily to September for the following reasons:
- So that it is distinguished from the Antietam October pictures.
- The weather is apparently mild enough to allow everyone to sit outside with ease, which would not typically be the case in the Washington area in December, January, or February.
- There are still leaves on the tree, lush even, which would not be the case from November onwards. The leaf coverage of trees in the Antietam October pictures looks thinner.
